Simple, Easy & Beautiful Fall Decor

Fall is one of my favourite times to decorate the house – it just makes the whole house feel so cozy. For me, I love simple, easy but beautiful fall decor that brings the colours and textures of nature indoors. I’m a sucker for natural wood tones, pretty branches, and you guessed it – all the pumpkins! I’ve listed below where all of our fall decor is from and linked what I can. Most of the decorations I use from year to year and add in a few new things each year. I try to style things slightly different every year so the decor feels fresh and new. One thing…

Quick & Easy Kitchen Cupboard Organization

We just finished our kitchen cupboard organization and it turned out so amazing! This was something that I had thought about doing for years but never got around to doing. Honestly, we thought the cupboards were kind of organized before but looking back at them now, they weren’t even close! I began with a rough idea of where everything should go in the cupboards and how they would be organized. For example, the shelf the item would go one, what container to use, grouping similar items together, etc. One of the things I wanted to change was to put all of our spices in a drawer. We had one drawer…

Winter Planters – Super Easy & Beautiful!

My mom and I put together our winter planters a few weeks ago and they are so easy to do! They look so pretty & festive (especially when there’s some snow) and they last the entire winter. My parents live in the country and they have lots of evergreen & cedar trees on their property. My mom offered to cut some branches for us and bring them over along with some branches of red dogwood that grow across the road from them so that we could make our own planters. I love making things myself so of course I love the idea of doing your own planters too! If you…

Our Halloween Doors Through the Years

I decorate our front door every year for Halloween and I think the neighbours get a real kick out of it! We’ve had people come take pictures outside in front of the door and so many people say they love seeing the doors when they come trick or treating. It’s so much fun to me! If you have any ideas for what I should do next year, let me know!

    Decorating for Easter

Does anyone else decorate for pretty much every holiday? No? Just me? I can’t believe that Easter is already next weekend – it feels like it’s creeped up so quickly with all of the craziness going on in the world. It feels good to put up the decorations and have something to look forward to even if it isn’t how we would normally celebrate. The weather is getting nicer and it’s getting warmer outside and decorating for Easter always makes me feel like spring is actually really here. We’re trying to keep things as normal as possible right now and to us part of that normal is decorating for Easter.…
